On the morning of June 8, the opening ceremony of the American middle school students' exchange study Camp hosted by the College of Joint Education of Kansas University, Zhejiang Normal University was held in the lecture hall of Building 2, Zhengyang Conference Center. Lin Yigang， the vice president of Zhejiang Normal University, and Mr. Jia Yu, the director of Career Development from Joint Education Development Association between United States and China in Indiana, USA, attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech.
On behalf of Zhejiang Normal University, Lin Yigang welcomed the American teenage friends who participated in the exchange and study camp to China, expressed gratitude to Joint Education Development Association between United States and China in Indiana, USA for its strong support to this activity, and briefly introduced the school's achievements. Lin Yigang pointed out that the teenagers from China and the United States are the bridge and messengers to promote the mutual understanding and continuous friendly exchanges between the people of the two countries. This study camp is carried out under the background of opening up a new vision of Sino-US relations facing the future, with the theme of Approaching dynamic Zhejiang and finding China-US friendship, which is a precious opportunity to understand a real, three-dimensional and comprehensive China. It is hoped that the participants will share what they have seen, heard and learned with their compatriots and play a positive role in promoting people-to-people exchanges between the two countries.
Jia Yu expressed gratitude to the teachers and students who organized the activity. She pointed out that Zhejiang Province and the state of Indiana are sister provinces and have carried out friendly cooperation in the field of education for many years. This exchange visit provides a valuable opportunity to understand each other's development vision and jointly build hand in hand. She hoped that through the exchange visit, China and the United States can promote international exchanges, jointly build, exchange and inherit, and move towards a world of common understanding.
Afterwards, Lin Yigang presented gifts to the teachers and students from the study camp and took a group photo.
The theme of this camp is Approaching Dynamic Zhejiang to find Sino-US Friendship. During the 11-day activity, 14 campers will go to Hangzhou, Jinhua, Quzhou, Beijing and other places to visit schools and high-tech factories, experience traditional culture, and review Sino-US friendship.
